Coaching:
On the Coaching side Dave Farrelly our GPO is proving to be one of the best coaches we ever had.
He is also heavily involved in the local schools on a daily basis teaching the basic skills and developing new skills with all the children within the schools .
Along side Dave we have Sinead Lennon doing great work within the club with the Nursery on a Saturday morning from 4 to 7 years of age.
Development:
With regards our development our plan for the future entails :
- Hurling Wall
- Drainage of the pitch .
- Lighting System.
Hurling Wall :
Update : The Hurling wall is now up and running and is proven 100% successful in helping promote the game in the area and getting allot more kids involved, this wall has fine tuned our talent from our Hurlers especially with hand ball and eye contact and also increase speed through play.
Drainage of Pitch:
We are also getting advice on getting the pitches on sarsfield road properly drained so all our teams can play and use the grounds all year round,which at the moment we cant do for 4/5 months of the year due to this and this must change .
Lighting System :
Each year all mentors , players have to come up with ideas to keep training when the dark nights set in and this can become very hard to find places with lighting for the teams to train therefore we are looking into getting our own lighting system within the car park of Liffey Gaels to help all teams train at the pitches at our grounds.
